I had the pleasure to photograph events in Roebling, NJ for their Christmas Open House Tour, Santa at the Community Center and the Roebling Museum.
 For those that do not know the history of Roebling from Wikpedia:
“Roebling was founded by Charles Roebling, son of John A. Roebling. John A. Roebling & Sons company built and provided the steel for the Brooklyn Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as numerous other bridges including one over Niagara Falls.
The steel mill was also responsible for the production of the elevator cables for the Empire State Building in New York City, the Chicago Board of Trade Building in Chicago and theWashington Monument in Washington, D.C. John A. Veterans Memorial Service At Bordentown Cemetery -Bordentown, NJ Editorial Photographer

Harry E. Havens, technical Sergeant Infantry, Company “G” 7th Infantry Regiment was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
On January 25th, 1945, near Houssen, France, when his platoon was caught in the crossfire of three machine guns, Sgt.. Havens mounted a friendly tank and directed fire which killed seven and forced the surrender of ten Germans. Charging one hundred yards through a hail of fire, her burst into an enemy-held house, killed two Germans and dispersed the remainder. After leading his men through anti-tank and 88 millimeter fire in the capture of three guns, Sgt.. Havens assaulted a communications trench, capturing four of the enemy, then led a room by room fight for possession of twelve buildings.
Under his fearless leadership, fifteen Germans were killed, ten wounded and thirty captured.
He entered the military service from Bordentown, NJ.

Bordentown Old City Hall Painted Chair Auction – Bordentown NJ Photographer

I enjoy documenting special events in my area for The Register News. Here in Bordentown, we have a City Hall that is fondly called, Old City Hall. It is a large brick building with a clock town and is located on Crosswicks St.
It is being refurbished and at this event, many chairs that were found in the building were originally in Clara Barton’s school. So different artists came forward to create something special and the money that came from auctioning the chairs off went directly to bring back Old City Hall to it’s “ole’ self” again.Some of these images were published in The Register News, one of the many papers published by http://www.centraljersey.com.

Honoring Veterans at the Florence-Roebling, NJ Elementary School-NJ Photographer

My friend Becca is a teacher at the Florence-Roebling Elementary School and told me about a large event that they do every year to honor our Veterans. I was asked to be a part of this to take some pictures and I as so happy that I was asked!

School Honors Vets and Ben Moore-Bordentown, NJ Photographer-The Register News

At Bordentown’s MacFarland Intermediate School, they held a special Vet’s Memorial Service.
Part of the service was our local Girl Scout Troop worked together to receive the Bronze Award. This award is for doing a certain number of community hours. They decided to create a special memorial for Ben Moore, who was killed over in Afghanistan earlier this year. One of the great things about living in a small town is having our Annual Halloween Parade. It’s a lot of fun, the kids come dressed up in costumes, anyone can be in the parade, and it’s always a lot of fun.
As most know, we just had some snow and really cold weather, so we were hoping that the parade would not get canceled and the weather tuned out just beautiful!

PFC Ben Moore Comes Back Home To Bordentown, NJ

I live in a small close tight community in a small town. The kind that still remembers who lived in which house after they house was sold three times since.
I was there to photograph the escorted motorcade back home. I was there to capture images for Hope Hose Humane #1, the fire house he belonged to and also to welcome him home and bid farewell. The more I read about him from his family and friends, the more I wished that I had known him.
